    What Makes Teachers Heroes

Hello my name is Byron Thomas and America we have teachers in Chicago that are on strike right now. Since they are on strike, truth is every teacher in America deserves to go on strike. In reality no teacher really makes enough money, for all the time and hard work they put into teaching. Teachers don’t get paid overtime for grading papers or writing up new lesson plans late at night. Teachers suffer a lot of America’s future. They’re putting their financial burden aside, to make sure America’s future is bright.. I’m not on either side but I do hope something can be solved soon, because those kids need to go to school. School is not just a place of learning, but it’s also a safe haven for a lot of students to get away from troubles at home or in their community. In my book Teachers Are Heroes. I want to thank every teacher in America for putting students first, because if it was easy or high paying everyone would be a teacher. I love all the teachers that taught me, because they worked hard at making sure I had the material to succeed at the next level. I also feel the same about police officers and firefighters that put their lives in harm’s way every day. They will risk their lives to save someone, but they don’t get paid enough either. It is sad though, because people don’t think about the families of teachers either. Everyone suffers from the striking. Hopefully something is done this week. Kill People with Kindness and May God Bless America
