Travel photo of the day |
Valley of Ten Peaks
It sits next to Lake Louise about 10 miles south of her, in Banff National Park.
One hotel is open four months a year here. And grizzlies roam the slopes. I would hike around the lake, but without a big rifle (not allowed in the National Parks) I would not venture it today. Canoes give you the view and some exercise for a few hours. And are really quite cheap. World class 6 star hotels are within one hours drive of this vista.
In the fall you will note the smoke in the air from local forest fires.
As nice as Hawaiii and or Fiji.
We paused for an hour here to restore our souls.
Thinking about eternity, some kind of ecstasy has a hold of me.
Those are glaciers high above in the mountains, snow will come soon and the road into this valley will be closed until June. Sept. 30 sees this whole valley shut down and it returns to nature for 8 months unitl the snow melts and the roads open once again.
Water and sky so blue? Yes I have seen this i Fiji, Cancun, Hawaii and in our mountains. Our glaicer melt makes this lake so vivid.
