Jesus: He's Back! and he wants a Hug!

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     gregreesehd covered the story two years ago when the Solid Rock Church's 'King of Kings' sculpture along Interstate 75, commonly known as 'Touchdown Jesus', was struck by lightning. The new statue, which was unveiled Wednesday, shows Jesus with his arms outstretched, as though preparing to hug someone. 'The pose reminds me of the classic saying "Come to Jesus," so that's ok,' the iReporter said.

In June 2010 the Big Jesus Statue at The Solid Rock Church near Cincinnati, Ohio was struck by lightning and burned to the ground!

Now just about two years later. Jesus is Back! A new Jesus statue that is. The old figure had its arms stretched up in the air earning it the name "Touchdown Jesus". This one has its arm reaching out and people are starting to call it "Hug Me Jesus"

The new Jesus statue or the Lux Mundi (Latin for "Light of the World") was designed by Tom Tsuchiya also known as Norikazu.

What do you think about the new Jesus statue? What would you call it as a nickname?
