Endeavour Shuttle Farewell
Our Endeavour shuttle, USA. The Endeavour shuttle did a final fly over Tucson Arizona today thanks to the last pilot Mark Kelly in tribute to Gabrielle Giffords. In the 70's, when I was in fifth grade, I did a school paper based on National Geographic's article devoted future technology and featuring the shuttles. Much later, my wife and I saw the Endeavour become a shooting star after a night time blast off in Florida. Today was the last time we will have seen the Endeavour in flight so we staked out a local park with a wonderful field view, north of the U of A flight path. Surprise turned to delight as the plane flew right down the street we were waiting on, then banked over the park. Our birds eye view appears we are on level with the plane due to the sharp tilt it made to turn toward the city center. Cheers to the team that made it all possible.
