    What impact will Hurricane Ike have on unfinished construction on Kirby?

    Houstonians have been watching construction in the Upper Kirby/River Oaks area since January.  As residents brace for the impact of Hurricane Ike they wonder what effect  wind and rain will have on the unfinished buildings. Winds are expected to reach between 50-80 mph within the city.
