    Welcoming Autumn - Northern California Style

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     CarolCotton said the first day of autum was a beautiful day in Northern California. She and her husband enjoyed the day by getting in their pool, and she used her iPhone 4s to shoot this photo of her husband jumping in.

    Just because it's the first day of Autumn doesn't mean we are ready to pack up the back yard and hibernate! Living in Northern California affords us the luxury of enjoying the great outdoors far earlier in Spring and far later in Autumn. Today we welcomed Autum by getting in the pool.
