RC-East operational update | Sept. 24 BAGRAM, Afghanistan (Sept. 24, 2012) - Afghan and coalition cleared seven improvised explosive devices during operations in eastern Afghanistan throughout the past 24 hours, Sept. 23. Ghazni Province Afghan National Security Forces and coalition forces found and safely cleared an IED in Ghazni District. Khowst Province Afghan Uniformed Police found and safely cleared an IED in Sabari District. Kunar Province Afghan National Security Forces found and safely cleared an IED in Mehtar Lam District. Logar Province Afghan National Security Forces and coalition forces found and safely cleared two IEDs in Charkh District. Paktika Province Afghan National Army soldiers and coalition forces found and safely cleared two IEDs in Zerok District. Operations in RC-East are still ongoing.
