Obama selects Biden |
Obama-Biden The Winning Ticket
Obama's choice of Biden will not sway my vote. Well over a year and a half ago I became sold out for Sen. Obama's take on America's issues. I liked that he was a politician who was adamant about being a president for the people. I was overly attracted to his will to listen to opposing views and even change his stance on issues when he may have discovered something better for the people of America. Some call it 'flip-flopping' I call it good leadership. A leadership who cannot or refuses to adjust to the changes around it is doomed.
Although I am a a female and fan of Sen. Clinton, it was clear to me that while both senators had similiar positions on the issues their few differences were vast. Yes, chosing her as VP would've created a very historical and winning ticket, but not a good political team. I believe the two would constantly be at odds rather than on the same page at how to tackle the nations biggest problems. As well, her judgment on the War on Iraq leaves me with some concerns when considering that she might some day be Commander-in-Chief in the president's absence.
I believe Sen. Biden was a great choice. He is what any leader who is lining himself up for success needs. In the areas where Obama could stand some increase of strength, Biden has possession of thoses strengths, i.e. Foreign Policy. He is not just a 'yes' man. I believe that Biden will provide Obama with opposing views to any situation to better equip them in being presidents of the people of America. Biden's 'attack dog' yet teamplayer demeanor has earned him respect amongst his collegues - even those of the opposing political party. This is the kind of VP that the Obama ticket needed regardless of gender.
This is the team to lead America back to being all that our Forefathers meant Her to be.
