Kenosha Pass, CO Aspens Turn
As a thirty seven year old native of Colorado I have seen the aspens change color many times. I remember trips as a child to Kenosha Pass, but the memory is never as awe inspiring as seeing an entire mountain shimmer with gold leaves. Over the weekend I hit Kenosha Pass, Borealis Pass, the town of Frisco, the train outside of Georgetown, and finished at Guanella Pass. All told I shot 646 photos, mostly Colorado mountains and aspens, and the photos above are my finalists from Kenosha on September 22. The pictures from other locations will be uploaded over the next few days.
