Voter's Gender Gap - Do Men Have A 'Stupid Gene' Politically Speaking?
Have you ever wondered why most men vote for Republicans and most women vote for Democrats? Many of us wonder if men have gotten the memo about who has outsourced the good paying jobs. Do men have a 'stupid gene?
"Fifty years to the day from the discovery of the structure of DNA, one of its co-discoverers has caused a storm by suggesting that stupidity is a genetic disease that should be cured."
With the ever widening 'Voting Gender Gap' it makes one wonder if men shouldn't have gene therapy.

Most men vote Republican, and most women vote Democratic. Why?
In the movie, Mona Lisa Smile", a free-thinking art professor teaches conservative 50's Wellesley girls to question their traditional societal roles.

Women, these days, are taught to question their traditional roles by the school of hard knocks.
Working, divorced women have learned that the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2009 is important.

Democrats passed this, Republicans opposed it.
"The Voting gender gap is defined as the difference, typically in percentage, between men and women voters. This gap can occur even if both genders support the same candidate."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voting_gender_gap
"In every presidential election year from 1980 - 2010 women have outnumbered men in voting Democratic and the same is true for men outnumbering women voting Republican.
From 1980 forward there is a definitive difference in partisanship between male and female voters.
Some of the issues that men and women disagree on:
Increased role of government:
U.S. military intervention
Healthcare and welfare
Firearms restrictions
Affirmative action to achieve racial equality
Equal pay and opportunity
On questions of the draft, militarization, nuclear weapons, capital punishment, and environmental safeguards; significant differences show up between men and women.
These differences cut across class and education and hold whether the woman in question is employed or not."
Women's marital status has contributed to their being supportive of Democratic candidates.
More women are divorced now, no longer subordinate to their husbands and their husband's opinions about politics.
Women have seen the disparity between their wages and men's. They see the Democratic Party as willing to address this injustice where Republicans will not.
The 'traditional view by conservatives is that a 'women has a place' and that's in the home caring for her children and getting her husband supper and a beer upon his return home after work.
Intelligent women no longer accept that role.
But there are many 'Stepford wives' that gladly see their roles as 'subservience to men'.
They vote with their husbands for Republicans and their 'traditional values'.

Doesn't the Bible claim that men are the 'head of the household'?
This may explain why so many evangelical men vote Republican.
Women also understand that this archaic view of their role by some men keeps them from advancing, being promoted, and holding certain offices of power generally reserved by men for men.
"Women are more likely to vote Democratic not as much for women’s issues of reproductive rights but instead for economic reasons.
For this reason, Republicans will find it difficult to close the gender gap: women tend to support big government.
"For more than a decade, women have been more likely than men to favor an active role for government.
"A higher percentage of women than men say that government should do more for the poor, children, and the elderly."
Women advocate strengthening government regulation, especially on health, the environment, and food and workplace safety, much more than men do.
With good paying jobs being outsourced by the very Republican Party men mostly support, the question needs to be asked:
'Do men just have a stupid gene?"
The gender gap and why.
Have you wondered why so many men support the Republican Party and many more women support Democrats?
Women may be just smarter than men.
