Who’s Education Plan Really Best for America?
Hello my name is Byron Thomas and America, whose college plan is really best for America? I’m a college student (and undecided voter) but I don’t just want to think about me, I have to think about what’s best for America. Mitt Romney has one plan and President Obama has one plan. It seems to me that Obama wants to give and Romney wants you to work. It all comes down to which candidate wants to teach my generation to be more responsible. My generation really has had a lot of stuff given to us. For America’s future to be brighter, we need to have that drive to work harder and do better. Let me get this point straight, I believe everyone should have a chance for a college education. I have friends on both sides of the water. On one side their parents are paying for their college, but on the other side they have to take out student loans because their parents can’t afford it. A lot of kids go into the military to help with college, which is not a bad thing because the military teaches you discipline and respect (anyone that goes into the military automatically has my respect). It’s sad when I see some of my friends who parents are paying for their way for college, waste it. Like they don’t get the best grades and they are just enjoying college for the ride. Now when I see those students that get all those grants and waste it, I definitely get upset. You don’t have to repay a grant. That money is from tax payer money. Now a loan is different, because you’re going to pay back a loan. The responsibility all falls on you. I have a loan because my parents want to teach me responsibility and right now I’m above a 3.6gpa. I know that if I don’t get the job done, then that loan still falls on me and not my parents. So back on the two candidates, which guy’s plan is truly for my generation to work harder? It will be my generation’s job to get this debt down before our future kids tackle it on. I believe responsibility will be critical in tackling this monster trillion dollar deficit. Kill People with Kindness and May God Bless America
