    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     sargeatc told me of this condominium fire, 'The fire was so intense that I could feel the heat across the street from the fire and it smelled liked burning plastic or tires. It was very surreal as the thick black smoke filled the sky, it looked like the coastal highway was completely covered.' CNN affiliate WJLA has more information.
