    Ahmadinejad Protest at United Nations

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     JoelGraham photographed protesters in New York City on September 27, demonstrating against Iranian President Ahmadinejad. 'They were asking that Ahmadinejad be ousted and that they are holding his regime responsible for thousands of executions. They asked for change to democracy and called him a dictator,' he said.
    - Jareen, CNN iReport producer

Thousands of protestors from many nations rallied outside the United Nations in New York yesterday asking for justice and reform and an end to violent rule and militant regimes. The rally was held in Dag Hammarsskjold Plaza where speakers including former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, former congressman Patrick Kennedy, Newt Gingrich, former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, and former Homeland Security head Tom Ridge addressed the crowd. Former UN Ambassador to the United Nations Tom Bolton spoke and Iranian opposition leader Maryam Rajavi spoke via closed circuit television from Iran. The Tuesday rally was prompted by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's speech to the UN General Assembly.
Many other groups were also represented including protesters demanding a free Tibet, Falun Gong and people protesting the situation in Syria.
