    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     okiefella told me, 'I was surprised as supposedly China is under control and reasonably calm.' CNN cannot confirm at this time that vandalizing took place as claimed.

    A coworker and I were in Beijing, China and we decided to grab a burger and get some Hard Rock shirts. We took a taxi and when we got there found that it had been closed. They handed us a paper that attempted to explain things. I think it left more questions than answers.
