Final presidential debate: Unanswered questions |
Economic Expectations
You've asked "Are we better off than 4 years ago?". For those who have forgotten, 4 years ago everything was incredibly bleak, globally, as a result of Republican deregulation policies and top-down economics. The USA was in an almost irrecoverable tailspin, at the edge of the economic abyss. Despite the lack of cooperation in Congress, Pres Obama was able to put into place policies that saved us from going over the edge, even if the recovery may not be happening as fast as some would like.
So, my question: Given the many recent signs of economic and job improvements, as well as long-term stability (not to mention a more modern healthcare system), why would we want to go back to the Republican policies of deregulation and top-down economics that made some very rich, but messed everybody else up so badly?
