    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Dfilmknight, who is visiting Denver, Colorado, snapped this photo of the lunar vista over the Continental Divide. 'I was not prepared for what I saw -- an alien-like vista right before my eyes. The moon literally dominated the landscape and hung majestically over the mountain peaks in a scene that could only be described as wondrous,' he said.

    This photo was taken in the early morning hours of September 30, 2012 while vacationing outside Denver, CO. The Moon setting over the Continental Divide was breathtaking and awe-inspiring.
