What's your big idea? |
Voter ID
I have an idea but it might not change the world but could change the USA. I hear on the news a lot about voter ID and sometimes the voter ID laws are in court.
I have a suggestion that when we register to vote, they issue a card shaped and made like a credit card. The card could have all our voter info on it and instead of a magntic strip, use a small embedded circuit to prevent it from being copied.
As it is now, when I vote there are poll workers and I have to vote at a certain place. With the card I am suggesting, there would be no need for poll workers and I could vote anywhere. Just insert my card in a voting machine and software brings up all my info like precinct, democrat or republican and displays my ballot. It then records my vote for that election and can only be used once for each election. Change address? Get a new card and the old card is voided.
I don't understand all the fuss about voter ID when something like this card would fix all that and eliminate voter fraud.
We have rovers on Mars but can't fix elections so let's do this right away. Simple to do.
