Today's China comes across as a contrast of empires -- there's the ancient dynasties ranging back 5000 + years as compared to this new wannabe economic empire of that in many ways is still trying to find its modern-day footing.
It's as if China's the girl who's the first to get invited to the prom and know she's a "looker"...but she's not sure what dress to wear.
