Final presidential debate: Unanswered questions |
President Dodges Answering Question as He Defends the ACA
- zdan, CNN iReport producer
On September 27th, I responded to a CNN iReport assignment calling for asking both presidential candidates, President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney, an individual question or a question for both. At that time, I chose to ask one of both as well as an individual question for each candidate.
Here is what I asked of the President:
Mr. President, why did you not focus primarily on jobs and the economy during your first 2 years in office?
It was interesting that Romney in the debate actually broached the subject with the President.
The President went into a defense of the Affordable Care Act and said nothing about not focusing on why he did not focus more on the economy and jobs. The President spoke of how that even though people's health insurance premiums were going up, eventually healthcare costs should get lower.
But what has that to do with the here and now?
People's wallets and pocketbooks are feeling the pain now.
From the Cornfield, Round 1 tonight goes to Romney.
What will Rounds 2 and 3 bring us?
