Frustrated Troop
I have been awaiting the completion of my Veterans Disability rating for almost a year now. I filed my claim back in December of 2011 and still the VA has failed to complete my claim. The thing is I really shouldn't have needed to file a brand new claim, as I had previously been awarded a 10 percent disability for some botched surgery done on my leg by the military and a gun shot wound I received while in the military. However, for some unknown reason the VA quit paying me the disability and I haven't received any payments, or explanations why they haven't been paying me, since the year 2000.
I am a veteran of the Persian Gulf War back in 1991 and have also served as armed security in the present war in the middle east and have been getting the run around big time by the VA. They have an estimated completion date of my claim on their website and they continually set the date back 3 months at a time, (I feel it's just to get me upset). I think they are being retaliatory and I haven't done anything to them except request that they expedite my claim.
Anyway, it has been a real long wait and if anyone out there has some pull with the Veterans Administration I would appreciate your help.
