    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     NorrisRW told me, 'I deliver pizza six days a week, which means no gas, no work. I filled up for about $57 last night, with 13 gallons of fuel; just last week, I paid about $58 for 15 gallons.'

    Southern California has been hit with a gas shortage, and prices have skyrocketed this week. This station's price was $3.97 for regular on Monday, and $5.00  is forecast over the next week.
