    Part-Time BUT Working Again..

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     DaElmersBack used to work a pizza delivery driver before the store he worked at suddenly shut its doors and fired all its employees. '[Our boss] blamed it on the economy,' he said. He spent the last 18 months trying to find employment, he says that was an emotionally turbulent time. 'I was scared,' he said. But he finally found a part-time job over the summer at a fast food restaurant in Michigan. He says considering his situation, overall he is happy. 'Life is a toss, something is always changing,' he said.

    After being out of a job for 18 months, I finally got a job. It is only part-time and minimum wage but it IS a job.. I'd like to work full time and could IF I didn't have nerve damage in my leg. My leg goes numb after just a few hours standing on it, sometimes I have severe pain too. Due to the economy, I don't have a choice.. I have to keep going to survive. I have to make sacrifices for my children.

     

    Seems like everything keeps going up in price, while wages stay the same. Many places ARE hiring but only part-time positions, mainly so they don't have to pay for insurance. Sure seems like the only places hiring are the ones that pay the lowest wages. All I will say is that I work in the fast food business, due to a stalker issue I can't disclose exactly where.
