SpaceX launch starts mission to resupply space station

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Skinnywater set up his camera with a fisheye lens along the Banana River on Sunday night to catch the launch of the SpaceX rocket, the first official cargo resupply mission to the International Space Station. Skinnywater, who lives in Cocoa, Florida, has been watching shuttle and rocket launches for 40 years. 'It's history. It's the beginning of a new era. Everyone was nostalgically attached to the shuttle, but this is the future, this is the way forward. This is the latest, greatest technology,' he said.

Gary Munson of Cocoa Beach sits on the banks of the Banana River watching the Space X Falcon 9 rocket roared into the night sky right on time, putting SpaceX on track to reach the space station Wednesday.
