    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     iReporter SebDamm says that while many see the rise of China and other such issues as being of key importance in the US election, the issue of energy is the one the US president, indeed the world, should be concentrating on. "Obama is investing in green initiatives and this is all very well, but heavily investing in green energy will make it profitable," he says. "What the US does creates a ripple effect, so if they were to make a clear shift towards a greener agenda that would be reflected across the world."
