    Yes, I recall 1968

For the last few months I have been remebering 1967 and 1968 quite often. I was 21 years old 40 years ago having just celebrated my birthday in Vietnam. I had arrived in Vietnam in September 1967 and spent several months in country before being sent to Saigon in December. I was stationed at a small installation south of Saigon when the Tet Offensive began at the end of January 1968. Within a couple of weeks, my outfit was moved to Long Binh. I was there in April 1968 when I heard of the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr.. Only a few months later we heard of the assassination of Robert Kennedy. While many of us had a couple things occupying us at the time, many also wondered, "what in the hell is happening back in the world?"
