    Daykundi 's so-called roads (Part 1)

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     iReporter and engineering studentIqbalMustan took these stark images of roads around his home province of Daykundi in central Afghanistan in 2011, roads build not by the central government but by locals themselves. "In the past 10 years the central government of Afghanistan hasn't paid attention to Daykundi, so when local people faced transportation problems then were compelled to build, as they weren't professional in building a proper roads it made these roads very dangerous," he says. Many of the roads are only wide enough for one vehicle, which can cause chaos if a car or truck comes the other way.

    In Daykundi’s so-called raods albums , I share you Daykundi’s road which connects Dk to Kabul , neighbor provinces and mainly to it’s own districts.
    These roads which you are watching aren’t built by government, local people have built them for their service. You can find these roads no where in Afghanistan beside you can’t a single dollar sign which has been spent on main roads of Daykundi.
    These mud roads are not more then a couple of meters wider , just a vehicle can go through if from opposite side any vehicle comes , just imagine in what trouble does people go to pass.” In first photo you can see the condition and people’s found solution “
    Some the photos uploaded are of spring and summer , almost roads in a good condition but in fall and winter the roads get worst “you can see in third photo” and just imagine a meter snow on them.
    The purpose of uploading this album is just to share the transportation problems of local people who have believed in government of Afghanistan and international communities.
    In upcoming albums I will share part 2 and 3 of this album.
