Provided that it is imperative to have a strong foundation of bi-partisanship to ensure progress in Washington, and to avoid the unnecessary and downright damaging gridlock like we have seen in the past, how do you respond to the critics who think that the practice of “reaching across the aisle” is arguably your most profound weakness, which was emphatically illustrated in your vote against the repeal of “don’t ask don’t tell”?
