    Fire Damage

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     alleebeth was visiting family outside Fort Collins, Colorado, and went to see the area damaged by wildfire this summer. 'The destruction of this gigantic fire is overwhelming. It's impossible to comprehend even while I was looking right at it. Acres of trees and homes - gone."

    The year 2012 was brutal for wildfires in Colorado.

     

    The fire damage this Summer near Ft Collins burned close to 100,000 acres.

     

    I have just visited the area. The devastation was enormous and heartbreaking.

     

    There were trailers everywhere. Homeowners were there, determined to rebuild & restore their lives the best they can.

     

    It's uplifting to see how their spirits perseveres throughout this tragedy.
