Encounters with the 1930s
The exposition in the Reina Sofia museum, which runs until Januery 7, looks at this decade to mostrate how artist work was influenced by
sybolical and geographical displacements made, in a turbulence period in with art and power joined forced and also confronted one another
to be in this expositon the way to udestand the present.
The art in many times is used as propaganda in a mood of technological innovations, where in the feel of citizens the modermity is questioned.
Encounters with the 1930s has six section: Realism, Abstraction, international exposition, surrealism, photography, film and posters.
