    Should affirmative action still exist?

    REVERSE DISCRIMINATION

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     susse57 says she thinks that affirmative action is no longer necessary. "Students need to take personal responsibility for their future plans, whether it's college or not," she says. "College entrance should not be easier for one than the other based on race."
    - Anika3, CNN iReport producer

I went to high school in DC in the 70's. I lived in a predominantly white neighborhood however my school was 80% black. That was not the problem, the problem was all the "Black" clubs sponsored by the school, mostly black administration, athletes, cheerleaders, etc. and still considered the minority.

I knew a black girl who said to me that blacks should be allowed lower entrance exam scores for college and post graduate scools. What?? And she was serious!

If this has been going on since I was in school it's time for a change. There are enough Federal laws covering the minority population, regardless of race, so stop with Affirmative Action please! It doesn't help anyone anymore. If anything it makes it harder for "minorities" to blend seamlessly because people may assume they got in because of their race and not their qualifications.

I also would like to add get rid of the unions. They're killing the economy! They are no longer necessary to guarantee workers' rights, only padding a paycheck for less than "skilled" work. You want better pay get a better education.
