There is no new gun ban to be implemented during the celebration of Undas on November 1-2 in Davao City.

This was the clarification made by Mayor Sara Duterte- Carpio on Thursday after reports that she issued a gunban order for Undas celebration.

Duterte said the new gunban order will be implemented during the upcoming Pasko Fiesta celebration in the city and not undas.

She said some reporters may have committed an innocent mistake and/or have mixed up the dates when she was interviewed recently.

Duterte said several people have already called her since Thursday inquiring about the gunban implementation thus her decision to clarify things.

"Nagsagol lang siguro ilang pagtake down ug notes. Ang gunban question sa pasko fiesta to," Mayor Duterte-Carpio said.

The mayor have been criticized in the past by no less than her father, Vice Mayor Rodrigo Duterte, for the localized gun ban she has been implementing during special occasions in the city.

This however did not stop her from implementing the localized gun ban which she already did twice in the past. BOT
