CNN PRODUCER NOTE     jdh53, a photographer in Pensacola, Florida, captured these images of 11-year-old Ben Baltz, the paratriathlete whose prosthetic limb broke apart during the run portion, and a Marine ran with him on his back to the finish line. (Read the full story here.) The photographer, Joel David Hinrichs with Joel David Productions, was at the race shooting video of his 9-year-old sister.

'After she finished, I began photographing children out of curiosity for what I could capture. I did not know there was a paratriathlete in the race until I saw someone carrying Ben out of the water. They attached his prosthetic leg and I captured a few photos as he was running through the sand. I photographed several other children, but there was something inspiring about Ben that caused me to focus on him. He had an inspiring look of determination and I wanted to capture that emotion in a photo. When I heard the announcer cheering for Ben at the finish I was laying on the beach with my sister. I ran up to the end of the race just as he and the Marines were crossing the finish line. The crowd was loudly cheering for Ben. It was a moment that touched everyone there.'
