    Seven Psychopaths - A struggling screenwriter inadvertently becomes entangled in the Los Angeles criminal underworld after his oddball friends kidnap a gangster's beloved Shih Tzu. Director: Martin McDonagh

     

    Grassroots - After losing his job, a journalist reluctantly agrees to help his oddball friend with his bid to earn a seat on the Seattle City Council. Director: Stephen Gyllenhaal

     

    I spoke with many different types of filmmakers at the 2012 San Diego Film Festival. You might even see some of these films on the big screen or even at your local film festival.
