    Weekend in NYC

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     JohnMcGraw says the spirit of New York was vibrant when he and his girlfriend took a weekend trip to take in the city and celebrate her birthday. "It was a fantastic trip. I love the feel of the city and all the action," he says. Not having been to the city in two years, he adds that it was interesting to see how things have changed and stayed the same. "We walked through Central Park at sunset, and it looks the same as it did two years ago. Then there is Freedom Tower, that has come along way in those same two years," he says. "I think my favorite two parts of this trip were sunrise at the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges and being on the Top of the Rock, at Rockefeller Center with the most spectacular view of the city." His first image was featured as CNN's Travel Photo of the Day for December 31, 2013.

I spent last weekend in NYC with my girlfriend for her birthday. We went to all the normal tourist spots, Top of the Rock, Times Square, Grand Central Station, Staten Island Ferry, Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan Bridge and St Patrick’s Cathedral.

This was my third time to NYC but hopefully not my last. We spent 2.5 days there and saw a lot of the city, but I know we haven’t even scratched the surface of things to do.
