    Presidential Double-Talk: The Auto Bailout

    In an article written by Governor Romney in the NY Times in 2008, entitled “Let Detroit Go Bankrupt”, he stated “If General Motors, Ford and Chrysler get the bailout you can kiss the American automotive industry goodbye”. Your campaign touts Governor Romney, who was born in Detroit, as a private sector hero, with a strong automotive background, so how could he have been so wrong when it came to the auto bailout?

    And with the American Auto industry now flourishing, and creating hundreds of thousands of new jobs, due to the bailout, should we hold off on “kissing the industry goodbye”?
