    A Better Debate

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Left-leaning independent liereport told me, 'I think Ryan got into more specifics than Mitt Romney, and Biden did as well. I got a sense that both candidates were more loose and willing to be human. There seemed to be less of an effort to "look presidential." That being said, I don't feel my question was directly answered, but we did get a better idea of where the two campaigns stand on the budget, as well as a variety of issues.'

    I feel the VP debate between Joe Biden and Paul Ryan was more dynamic and informative than the first presidential debate between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney. I think this gave us a better sense of the core differences between the two tickets.
