    Superheroes Invade NYC

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     JDAlady told me, 'This year didn't seem to have a huge line up of celebrities but the same mass of people are here. Also the booths are not as massive as it was with "The Avengers" last year. Upload your photos of costumed heroes and villains in the city here.
    - hhanks, CNN iReport producer

In a city of sleepless masked heroes, adrenaline is the main superpower for the costumed NYComicCon fans. From Doctor Who to Supergirl to Storm, one by one they bring their energy and enthusiasm to the Javits Center. With the backdrop of the industrial West Side, the heroes take refuge on the convention floor. Even villains find a home.

The numerous booths with Comic, Sci-Fi, Fantasy favorites are overwhelming. Yet the attendees of ComicCon seem to be built of superhero strength as they plough through tremendous visual stimuli. There are characters evoking childhood affection. There are new heroes from creative imaginations. A red and white caped duo brought to character their battle of good and evil. Haleigh Ciel (in sparkled white) and Kayla Ferguson (in masked red) stopped by the Knight Realms booth to show their support.

Duplicates of Bane were much welcomed as one paired with Robin and the Joker. Even Wolverine was spotted doing Gangnam style. At NYComicCon, supernatural meets the everyday and comes to life. As winter is coming, the challenge of weather doesn’t seem to impede the tights, spandex and star spangled mini skirts from coming in masses to NYCC.
