    Why can't the United States put and end to the military stranglehold upon U. S. foreign policy?

    I am a Vietnam veteran who served his country honorably and swore an oath to God almighty that no more such wars would ever be fought again. Yet, I have watched my country since WW2 fight one war after another over economic or political concerns, illegally invading one country after another, supporting corrupt regimes, and dismantling social governments that have a different agenda than our own capitalist system. When and how will this all stop if we don't allow more tolerance in the world and learn to protect only our border?
