    Your thoughts on "Empire?"

    Keeping in mind your personal plans to improve policy-making in this country, how would you respond to the ideas in Michael Hardt and Antonio Negri's 2000 book "Empire"> It talk at length about both the good and bad sides of national superpower, and I'd be really interested to know how you would handle that interplay, especially given America's international reputation.
