Questions for Candy Crowley |
The Healthcare Elephant in the Room
Gov Romney.
You recently stated to the Columbus Dispatch that "We don't have people that become ill, who die in their apartment because they don't have insurance." However, a recent study by the Harvard Medical School (as well as others) showed that about 45,000 Americans die each year because of a lack of health insurance.
Moreover, you have repeatedly stated that on Day 1 you will revoke Omabacare and thus suddenly leave millions of people without insurance, and unable to purchase it due to pre-existing conditions. An emergency room trip for these people isn't cheap, for them or the American taxpayer who eventually foots the bill.
You've also told Jay Leno “Well, if they’re 45 years old, and they show up, and they say, I want insurance, because I’ve got a heart disease, it’s like, `Hey guys, we can’t play the game like that. You’ve got to get insurance when you’re well, and if you get ill, then you’re going to be covered"
Q: How can 100% of the American people trust that you have their best health interest in mind??
