I Escaped a Ninja Turtle Sewer, the Warriors and Kevin Smith on Day 2 of New York Comic-Con 2012

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     ByHandMedia told me, 'I'm a fan. I am a fan of popular culture. I love movies, comics and science fiction. Popular culture is one of my favorite subjects to shoot.'
    - hhanks, CNN iReport producer

This is part 1 of 2 for my continued photo essay teaser from the 2012 New York Comic-Con. You can see part 2 of the teaser right here at CNN shortly and the entire photo essay will be posted to FilmFetish.com on Monday.

It was another great day at the Con, which included: a panel for Comic Book Men with Kevin Smith, Walter Flanagan, Ming Chen, Mike Zapcic & Bryan Johnson; a 3D preview of Silent Hill: Revelation; a 1 hour video documentary on the many iterations of the famous Batmobile; previews of the TV shows The Venture Brothers & Robot Chicken; as well as multiple freebies, such as 2 more great limited edition posters from The Man With the Iron Fists.

The photos attached here include: a walkway connecting the two main exhibit hall rooms dressed up to resemble a sewer from The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles; Silent Hill: Revelation 3D stars Kit Harington & Adelaide Clemens; the man responsible for the whole crazy show, the founder of NYCC; one of the more creative homemade costumes of the day; a "comicbook" Bane and Batman rematch; spokesmodels for Cable Movies on Demand hold a photo shoot in the Javits Convention Center hallway; The Warrior came out to play; Kevin Smith introduces the cast of his show Comic Book Men; the cast of Comic Book Men; and fans dressed up as characters from Silent Hill.

People have been emailing me about how to be photographed as part of this photo essay. I would be honored to photograph any fellow fans, and I try to get as many as I can. If you see me at the Con, feel free to walk up and say hi, I'd be happy to take your shot.
