Girls with guns
Everyone talks about how sad it is that girls around the world are stoned or shot for wanting to go school but no one is willing to take real action to help prevent it. There is an old saying "Give a man a fish ...you feed a him for a day...teach a man to fish, you feed his family for a lifetime."
Here is a new saying :"give a girl an armed guard, you protect her for a day. Teach a girl to fight and you protect her and her whole family for a lifetime".
Instead of just opening schools where girls can learn to read and write while taking their lives in their hands to do so. Give the girl a gun and teach her to read arms manuals as part of her school work.
By teaching a girl to shoot and by extension to protect herself, you are teaching her self reliance and by extension self respect, You are not only educating her but you are helping her realize that she has the rights and that she is responsible for protecting her family.
Here in the US, women helped protect their homes when the west was being settled. We should take that lesson to every country on earth..Give a girl a gun and watch the world change for the better.
