    Night Flight: Endeavour late to Science Center

     

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     PaulaGibson photographed space shuttle Endeavour in Los Angeles, California, on October 13. She says there was a large turnout of people who came to the California Science Center after midnight to witness Endeavour's arrival to the museum. She says for him personally, the event was bittersweet. 'It was exciting to see the shuttle so close up and personal. But since I live in the neighborhood, the loss of so many majestic trees was disappointing,' she said.

    Shuttle was due at Crenshaw and Martin Luther King Drive at 2:00 pm; but by 7:00 p.m. the crowd was still waiting. Night fall had come by time the Shuttle turned East headed for the California Science Center,
