On a personal note: We have received word that my parents' house was completely destroyed. It was totally covered with water at one point and as the waters are receding, a neighbor that stayed behind got a boat and went and checked out his house and ours. He told us that there are no doors, no windows, not even any brick left on the house. He could see straight through the houses. Everything is lost... (This was on Sabine Drive in the Dugas Addition)
