Light Years: Your view of space and stars

    Waiting for the Lady

On a whim I decided to drive the 110 N from Rancho Palos Verdes to the CA Space Center in hopes of seeing Endeavor. I took the freeway exit and, to my surprise, I was able to drive and drive all the way down MLK to 4th (right in the heart of Endeavor's path). I found a parking space right away (!!!) and proceeded to sit for the next eight hours with every color, creed, religion, age, socio-economic background and every other kind of human possible. There was joy, pride, and a feeling of being part of history. I cannot describe accurately the humanity that came together tonight. I can say that I was and AM so PROUD to be a part of this experience. I have seen LA at some low times (riots of 93) but tonight erased all those memories.

Thank you NASA, CA Space Center, and Beautiful Endeavor for bringing us all together in true PRIDE.
