Do the math: Girls + Education

    Educating Girls in Rural India

Live Learn Act is an non-profit bases in the US. Our mission is to empower American students to learn and act globally. One of our current projects includes connects US students with girls in rural India through the development of sister schools. We are working with IIMPACT, an NGO in India. The support and enthusiasm of local elementary students proves that philanthropy doesn't have an age restriction.

IIMPACT provides educational opportunity to girls, from socially and economically disadvantaged communities of India, who traditionally have no acesss to schooling. Our aim is to break the cycle of illiteracy that girls from such communities are mired in. This is done through local community-based Learning Centers, where they get meaningful and stimulating education up to Year 5 and are guided to their entry in to mainstream education. We are supported by corporations, trusts and individuals who want to make a difference.

LLA's goal is to empower American students to learn and act globally: to become international citizens through education and relationship building with students in developing countries and to harness their potential to improve the lives of the world's most vulnerable children. LLA aims to break the cycle of poverty by providing access to education, clean water, and health services, and unleashing their power to succeed.
