Why can't we all get along?
I have been watching and observing politics since 1962. Since President Obama was elected, I have observed actions taken by those that represent us (the house and senate) that indicate that they would rather see this country fail than succeed. The statement by Harry Reid that the top priority of Republicans is to defeat President Obama has torn this country apart so much that republicans and democrats can no longer work together and yet with all these obstacles, the stocks are rising, umemployment rates are dropping, slow but still dropping. The USA has gotton rid of some of its top enemies and we for a change are letting other countries lead in trying to solve the world's problems. What is wrong with this country when some individuals do not want equitable tax sharing for the rich, middle class and poor? What is wrong in wanting that all U.S. citizens have medical insurance? What is wrong in trying to reach across the aisle and helping this president right the ship after inheriting the Titantic. Is having a select group of well to do people pay less taxes more inportant than having a strong middle class. I am disapointent and despondent in the direction this country has decided to go and act. We unite when someone attacks us, so why not unite when our country internally is hurting.
As the bible says when one is given much, much is expected or when one goes through the door reach back and help someone through.
