    Hallstatt, Austria – A fairytale village part 2

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     While visiting family with his wife, Swinden captured these lovely photographs from his storybook like trip to Hallstatt, Austria. "What was memorable about this trip was that the local shooting club was celebrating their final day of shooting," he says. "It included a parade through town and a boat trip." His seventh image was featured as CNN's Travel Photo of the Day for April 22, 2013.

    Hallstatt, Austria - During our visit, we were invited by the local shooting club to join them as they celebrated the final day of the shooting season which included a parade through the village and a boat ride on a Celtic boat followed by a sharp shooting match.

     

    While visiting do not pass up the opportunity to take a tour of one of the salt mines.
