    Auto Industry Saved?

    I've heard information that the bail-out of the auto industry was due not only to the millions in "loans" we granted different auto companies, but that the US government is the primary reason the sales have increased so greatly. "Supposedly" GM sold the US Government more autos/trucks, etc, than were sold to individuals, resulting in the goverment bailing them out twice.
    Is this true?
