    Unable to retire

I am a 66 yr. old women who has to continue to work. I own a house in Florida, and am renting it out because i was unable to get a job to support my living expenses, including my mortgage payments. I move to NYC, got a job earning $12.76 per hr. and just started collecting Social Security. I am barely able to feed myself with the cost of living here. My primary concern is Medicare and Social Security which SS helps towards paying my rent. if I lose this I will become homeless. What can be done to prevent losing SS, or do you have another plan for us senior citizens who still must work to survive?
